Bermuda Orange Bread

1½ C Flour

1 t Baking Powder
½ t Salt

3 oz Butter
1 C Sugar

2 Eggs
½ C Milk

½ C Raisins
½ C Almonds

1/3 C Sugar
Grated Rind of 1 Orange
Juice of 1 Orange

Cream butter and 1 cup of sugar, then add eggs one at a time and mix well. Beat in milk, orange rind, raisins and nuts. Gradually add all dry ingredients except 1/3 cup of sugar. Bake in greased floured loaf pan at 350° for 1 hour. Remove from oven and pour remaining sugar dissolved in juice of orange over loaf. Let cool and serve.
